Banríon Capital's Shana Orczyk Sissel weighs in on Chairman Powell's Jackson Hole Speech

TDAmeritrade Network

Aug 22, 2022

Banríon Capital Management Founder & President Shana Orczyk Sissel joined TD Ameritrade Network's Trading 360 with Caroline Woods to offer her thoughts on Federal Reserve Chairman Powell's Jackson Hole Speech. Chairman Powell's speech was short but clear. The Fed understands that they need to focus policy on getting inflation down and stabilized, which unfortunately means there is a risk of pain. His comments seemed to reflect a belief that a soft landing may not be possible. He also seemed to want to be clear to investors that they will not be changing this stance anytime soon, even if economic data shows broad weakness. Buckle up folks, it's going to be a bumpy ride!
