Potential recession could trigger the Fed to make a rate cut soon.| Shana Sissel on FBN

Fox Business Network

Apr 15, 2025

On Fox Business Network with Maria Bartiromo, Banríon CEO Shana Orczyk Sissel explained why she expects a near-term Fed rate cut. “I think the Fed is going to step in here and try to stabilize the Treasury markets and yields in general, in order to get things back on track,” she said, pointing to softening in the labor market and business confidence. She also noted that while recession risk is rising, she’s not in the “we will have one” camp. “I just think the probability has risen,” Shana said, citing the potential impact of front-loaded purchases and weaker sales in the second half of the year.
