CEO Shana Sissel, CAIA recently told Palash Ghosh at Pensions & Investments that the NFL’s cautious approach to private equity investments reflects their concern for reputational risks and brand strength. With valuations continuing to rise, private equity could play a crucial role in the future of NFL ownership, but it’s not without challenges. Shana also noted that "Any private equity manager worth their salt will need to think long and hard before considering an investment in an NFL team because it may not be in the best interest of their LPs."
